Psalm 70- For the director of music. Of David. A Petition.
Hasten, O God, to save me. O Lord, Come quickly to help me. May
those who
seek my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin
be
turned back in disgrace. May those who say to me, 'Aha! Aha!' turn back
because of their shame. But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad
in you;
may those who love your salvation always say, 'Let God be exalted!'
Yet I
am poor and needy; come quickly to me, O God. You are my help and my
deliverer; O Lord do not delay.
Christians Concerned for Burma along with Partners Relief & Development
is
hosting an event called "³80 Hours of Prayer for Burma" to
take place in an
on-site prayer room in Chiang Mai beginning at noon on Thursday, February
15th through till Sunday, February 18th, 2007, at which time we will
close
the event with a gathering in the prayer room from 6-8pm to pray and
worship
together.
For all those suffering in Burma, our intention is to commit these
80 Hours
to coming before God in petition, asking him to hasten the end of the
war
that has divided Burma for so long.
Those in Chiang Mai are encouraged to sign up for an hour slot in the
prayer
room. While for others who would like to join with us in prayer from
wherever they are, please still sign up and just let us know where you
will
be praying from.
Or in Chiang Mai call Jen on 081-033-2907 or Bee on 086-117-2973 with
any
questions.
CCB works to support the people of Burma through prayer,
evangelism, advocacy and action. CCB's belief is that God's love is alive
in Burma and its light will not be put out. Though the people are suffering
under an oppressive dictatorship, they have not given up. We have experienced
the love and redemption of Jesus Christ and want to share this as the
Lord leads and opens hearts.
